Bad Weekend :(

First off:
I had decided to make a "free day" on Friday. Felt guilty all day but enjoyed cereal (which was UBBER sweet), lunchables, canned spaghetti and meatballs...

Then Saturday, I went to drink my lemon-water and realized I was out of lemon. That ruined it. I felt like if I couldn't do the diet right, then I wouldn't do it (I know, easy cop-out). Had a friend's wedding that day so Hubs and I ate at Hoffbrau's after we got their wedding gift. I had steak salad (yum!). Dinner was chedd'r'poppers from Sonic and an Oreo blast...

Today I had donuts... and a Big Mac... My dinner consisted of cherries and a few hours later a (large) bowl of cereal.

Tomorrow it starts again. It will be day 11. I'm hoping that by my birthday I can be down to 180 again.

Day 10: Breakfast

So far today...

I've had 2 scrambled eggs with salsa and a Dannon Greek yogurt (vanilla).

I don't know how I am going to do lunch because I have THREE houses today (joy joy... but off tomorrow, unexpectedly).

Weighed in at 196.8! That is a 10.8 lb loss!

I still have 17 pounds to go until I get to my lowest in my weight-loss journey. But 36-56 more to get to where I REALLY want to be. One step at a time. I'm just really glad that I have been able to keep up this diet as long as I have. Usually I don't survive more than 4 days. Its a lot harder than people think, at first, but once you start losing weight it is a huge encouragement to keep doing so. I need to start adding in workouts but I have plenty excuses on my not... LOL

Day 9

For Wednesday:

Breakfast: ate an apple on the go
Lunch: small bag of carrots, Sonic grilled chicken sandwich MINUS the bun and mayo
Snack: 2 SMALL sugar cookies... :(
            3 celery sticks with Light Laughing Cow Swiss cheese
Dinner: half a bowl of turkey chili with a little bit of light sour cream.
After class: 2 chicken breast with salsa

Weighed in at 197!!! That is a 10.6 lb loss!

Day 8

For Tuesday:::

Breakfast: I had 2 scrambled and 1 over-medium egg. I tend to eat my scrambled with salsa for flavor.
Lunch: Went and had lunch with the Hubs so we went to Whataburger and I got a grilled chicken salad with fat-free ranch (still a no-no, but I didn't want vinegret... or however you spell it). BUT.... I had been craving a chocolate-dipped cone from DQ since SOMEONE (LoL) mentioned it... So I had one on the way home
Dinner: I waited 8 hours later to eat dinner (wasn't really hungry) and had 2 of those Great Value frozen breast filets that you can just microwave (They are REALLY good) with some salsa on top!

Weighed in at 198.4! That is a loss of 9.2 lbs!

Day 7: NEW

So for today...

I weighed in at 201.4. I went up 2.4 lbs from Sunday but that was to be expected with my splurge yesterday :/

Today's food:
Breakfast: an apple
Lunch: didn't get :(
Dinner: Grilled asparagus (YUM) and 2 Gordon's Grilled Tilapia fish filets
Snack: cucumber slices with a little vinegar

Surprisingly, I wasn't overwhelming hungry when I didn't get lunch. Which is good but still bad for my metabolism. Hopefully tomorrow goes well!

Day 7: SCRATCH-WILL NEED TO REDO!

Day 7 (Sunday) started off great weighing in at 199! Actually LOST weight during a weekend!
For breakfast I had a yogurt parfait from McDonald's for breakfast.

Didn't get lunch but wasn't too hungry til 2...

Then we went to see Captain America (AWESOME) at the Movie Tavern. With only a few healthy choices I choose a stuffed pita... and the fries that comes with it... and an Oreo shake....

And then Hubs ordered pizza when we got home... And I had 2 pieces...

Opps...

I'm not proud of it but I will be redo-ing Day 7 on Monday (today). Believe me. Guilt trip enormous.

Day 6: Dinner

For dinner I was good and had Fajita chicken and steamed green beans. YUM

So...

Breakfast: I had 2 over-medium eggs and 1 scrambled egg with some salsa. After I ate some greek yogurt.

Good News::: After my "splurge" yesterday I didn't gain any weight!

Bad News::: I didn't lose any either...

Day 5: Lunch and Dinner

Well...
Lunch was ok, kept it light and just had 4 slices of turkey deli meat and 2 hardboiled eggs (made wraps with the deli meat!)

And I was going to be good at dinner and eat a chicken fajita salad. We were having fajitas since my mom and sisters are in town as they drive through to Tennessee...

And I did eat the salad... and 2 beef tacos... with beans, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole.

I feel ashamed of myself. Pretty sure I will feel worse in the morning when I look at the scale!

Oh, and two slices of banana nut bread... and 6 reese's pieces...

Day 5: Breakfast

I wasn't super hungry this morning and was really sad I missed out on my apple yesterday...

So I had a Yoplait Light Apple Turnover yogurt (I don't think that was is allowed exactly... but it was going to expire soon) and a big apple.

YUM.

Only lost .4 lbs from yesterday but that put me at a total or 7.8 lbs lost! AND I'm at 199.8!!!!

And I would advise, before you go shopping or start, to make a meal plan on what you are going to eat. It will help you stay on track. And make sure to mix it up a little... it sure can get boring sometimes!

Day 4

So, I was going to have an apple for breakfast since I woke up late. Figured I could eat it while I drive to my first house... Halfway through my first house I realize I forgot it. And I wasn't REALLY hungry but was getting there.

So, on the way to wait for the Hubs so we can go to lunch together, I got a Sunrise Smoothie from Sonic. Its not on the menu but they still make it! It has strawberry, banana, and orange (even though the banana isn't allowed... crap).

For lunch we went to Sonic again because I wanted one of their simple salads.

THEY DON'T SELL THEM ANYMORE! WTF???!!!

So I got to watch the Hubs eat his 2 corndogs (my fav) and tator tots. I did have ONE tot.

After I dropped him back off at work I stopped at Jack-in-the-Box for a Chicken Club salad. The only no-no was a little bit of bacon and a little bit of ranch. But still not too bad.

After my 2nd house I came home to study and soak off my shellac (which is harder than getting fake nails off!) and ate 3 slices of turkey sandwich meat to tide me over class.

Took my test (I THINK I did well...) and she said we could just go home and do the lab at home since we would just be filling in things.

So I heated up the remainder of my steamed green beans and had a Grilled Tilapia filet. Delicious.

I think I'm done for the night but if I get a "sweet craving", I might have my Vanilla Greek yogurt!

Weight this morning was 200.2! That is -7.4 lbs since Monday! Hoping I can bust through 200 tomorrow morning!!!

Day 3: Lunch & Dinner

So, today's late lunch & dinner...

"Lunch" actually occurred about 4 o'clock. I had a salad with 1 egg, some turkey sandwich meat, and 1 precooked chicken breast with Fat Free Italian.

Then I proceeded to make our dinner, which I would have to eat when I came home, if it wasn't too late.

Hubs said it was delicious. I made him 2 chicken breasts with fajita seasoning and some cheesy mashed potatoes (the instant ones).

Then I had to go to school. Luckily we got out at 8 instead of 10 so, even though it was later than I like, I was kinda hungry so I had my 1 chicken breast with Mrs. Dash's chicken seasoning (YUM) and some steamed green beans.

I did have 3 more of those pretzel bites before class. Only 2 are left in the fridge... But I have resisted all other temptations today. And believe me, some of the temptations sounded SOOO good... Like Hub's unopened ice cream (Ben&Jerry's Everything But The...) that is in the freezer..........

Quick Snack Before Dinner

So, in contemplating what I felt like eating tonight, I had a freezer pop. You know one of those cheap ones that comes in a box or bag of 100?

Yeah.


SOOOOOO sweet. Like, unbearably sweet.

Day 3: Breakfast

For breakfast today I had 3 scrambled WHOLE eggs with 3 slices of turkey sandwich meat cut up and put in it. YUM. I wish I had some salsa to go with it but all I had was HOT and I wasn't that desperate for salsa.

I'm also going to have an apple and I'll save my probiotic for this evening.

Today's weigh in brought me to a total of -6.2 lb! Hubs is down 2 more too. It will help once I make room for exercise.

My biggest struggle is fighting off the feeling of "hungry" towards late evening. You aren't supposed to eat til stuffed and you burn protein more. I curbed my craving yesterday with two hard-boiled eggs. I have found eggs to be a big, main staple of this diet! Hard-boiled are quick snacks and great on salads. And they are easy to cook scrambled or omelet in the morning!

Day 2: Lunch & Dinner (& Snack)

Today for lunch I met hubs so he could cash his check so I can deposit it. So, we went to Subway. He got an oven-roasted chicken on flatbread and I got the chicken and baby spinach salad with some regular lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, and green bell peppers.

For dinner I just ate 2 piece of Gordan's Grilled Tilapia (YUM) and a salad with 2 hardboiled eggs, 3 shredded slices of turkey sandwich meat, and a little bit of fat free catalina dressing. I must tell you. Catalina dressing + Hardboiled eggs is DELICIOUS.

For a snack I cheated only a TINY bit...

See, I hate seeing food go to waste and I have left over chinese from Saturday... Which I didn't eat! Instead I had 3 pieces of my FarmRich Cheese Stuffed Pretzel Bites. Those 3 had less carbs and sugar than the dressing. So, its not on the diet but I didn't have a snickers bar like someone else...

Day 2: Breakfast

For breakfast today I had 3 egg whites, scrambled, and the small (5.5oz) can of V8 Vegetable juice.

I'm not going to lie, the eggs were gross. Kinda watery and I couldn't get them to dry out any more. Even with regular eggs I don't like them watery. I might not be able to do just egg whites again! And I just added some pepper to it for flavor.

I was going to have another Greek yogurt but decided I needed something with flavor so I went for my V8. I might have to buy more! It is definitely something to give you a flavor kick on a "dull" diet!

I weighed this morning (Hubs and I will every morning). He is down 5.2 lbs! And I'm down 4.4! SINCE  YESTERDAY! I'm sure it was mostly water weight but it really makes me determined to keep this going!

Day 1: Lunch & Dinner

I got called into work because my boss messed up my schedule and put me off when I wasn't... grr..

Anyhow, I had a late lunch (2pm) of a salad with 2 hardboiled eggs and grilled chicken breast with some fat free Italian dressing. I followed it with a DELICIOUS apple. I know the rules say no fruit after 2pm, but I think 205 is ok :o)

By the time I needed to leave for class (5) it was still too early to eat anything because I wasn't hungry. I resisted vending machines, except for water, while at school and when I got home I had two more grilled chicken breast patties. And Light Pineapple Upside-down Cake yogurt.

Hubs cheated! He was good all day but before bed he ate our leftover pizza from yesterday (2 small slices of Digorno).

I can tolerate that. And I can be proud to say that I went all day without cheating.

But I just realized that my yogurt had fruit in it.... :o( Hopefully it won't be enough to make a huge difference!

Day 1: Breakfast

So today is day 1 of the 17DayDiet.

Breakfast:::
First thing was a glass of hot/very warm water with half a lemon (juice).

After about an hour I had some Dannon Greek Yogurt (vanilla, of course!) and a Fruit2Day drink (strawberry & orange).

So far so good. Lets see if I can keep this up!

Stats for this morning:
Weight: 207.2 lbs
Neck: 14.5 in
Waist: 43 in
Hips: 47 in

I will probably weigh every day but will only update MyFitnessPal. I plan on "official" weigh-ins on Fridays and Mondays. Fridays to see how much I lost, and Mondays to see how much I gained back :o)

Hmm... An Interesting Idea

I was reading another blog about someone going through dieting, etc.

And she had an interesting "punishment" when she didn't follow her dieting rules.

She (and her roommates) would put a dollar in the jar. Her's was if she went over her daily caloric limit, one roommate's was not enough protein and workouts, and the other's was eating sweets.

BUT, being this as a punishment, they can't spend it on themselves and thought about donating it.

What if I did it as a REWARD system? Each day I stay under calorie limit and workout its a dollar (each) and when its full I can reward myself?

Or would it work better as a punishment? And what would that punishment be??

Tomorrow is a New Day

My clothes are ubber tight...

Serious muffin-topping and its NOT pretty.

So, tomorrow is a new day with new opportunities. I've let my wright get out of control, again, and I'm determined to get back on tract.

I wish I didn't have to fight with my weight. But there are a lot of things I wish for and wishing them only gives me the idea but doesn't do the work.

It is going to be hard but after how my clothes fit today... And the fact that I pulled my fat pants out of the guest closet... I'm in trouble and need to change.

Here goes!

Ashamed = Avoidance

I am so ashamed in myself... and in having said that, it explains why I have been avoiding this blog.

I'm over 200 again.

I hate that it is SO unbelievably easy for me to gain.

I don't want diet and exercise to be a lifelong battle. It sucks.

I'm sure I can make excuses as to why I have gained back TWENTY pounds...
1) Not making time to exercise
2) Not eating right
3) Stressing over school
4) Eating while I study
5) Being unhappy at work...

And I'm sure I could go on and on.

I have no motivation. I feel like getting pregnant is almost a hopeless cause. That I won't do well enough in my classes to get into nursing. A lot of pressure is on me and when I think about exercising I think about how much I need to study and how I can't do both at the same time.

Motivation... where are you???
