Cardio

Cardio is fun! LoL yoga teacher wasn't feeling well so she gave us the quiz and released class. Since I didn't get the workout I REALLY need... I got up the gumption to actually go walking and get some cardio.  Helps when your phone has an mp3 player and farkle :D ! Wind has picked up a bit though so I think this will be my last lap.

OCT 31st Goal: 200 lbs

I have 4 lbs to go. I WANT to get to 200 lbs by the end of this month. If I don't, thats ok, but it would be AWESOME to be under 200 lbs again!!!!

Did you know...

That I have lost (almost) 40 lbs in 4 months??

Did you know it took Alicia 2 years on the same diet pills to do that?

I think the difference is the level of dedication. I TRY to eat healthy except for maybe once a week. No sodas. No sugar except a "skinny cow" ice cream sandwich here and there. I eat Healthy Choice meals for lunch. Fiber Choice tablets to regulate (for others these pills made them poo, for me it just made my not pooing worse). Lots of water. Pilates. Yogas. Try to get some walking in. Swimming when it was warm. I don't eat after 6 or 7 if I can help it. No fast food. No alcohol.

That's just me. I want to do this in a safe enough pace, about 2 pounds a week, that I can continue it without putting it back on.

I just want people to know that you aren't always guaranteed the same results... but I think its possible if you do what we should do in the first place!

I have strep... and NO appetite. But, my weight is going down and I am trying to eat SOMETHING while sick. I'm in quarantine so I'm sure I will eat because of the boredom!

I have dropped down from my plateau a little bit!!! I haven't had much time to work out. I am TRYING to squeeze that in. Problems with trying to buy a home aren't helping though!

This past week I have kinda hit a plateau.... I know its the lack of exercise but we have been soooo busy! The house hunting and trip to SA (fun, btw), time just gets away...

BTW

Do notice that I update my weight each Sunday on the right hand side of this blog...

LoL, it always happens...

I start out SOOO good with a blog... then let it go by the way side.

I've been really busy lately and just haven't really taken (notice I didn't say HAD?) the opportunity to keep up....

Anywho, I'm down 30 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! GO ME!!! lol

My yoga is kicking my butt in glass. Its amazing how little you can do and you sweat your ass off. So much balancing and stretching does amazing things. I really need to start walking. I would LOVE a treadmill. I think that may be my gift to myself from tax return....

Anyhow, I am about 214.2.... I think... I will try to update every day again!

Had our first practicing yoga class yesterday. It was fun to me. To learn the poses and different things to do. Didn't do as much as I would've at home, but hopefully that is just because its the first day.

I am going to start walking around the outside track at the school (the outside track is right outside the building the class is in). It was hot though.... Guess I will just suck it up and do it. Bring baby wipes like in band to wipe off most of the sweat before class.

I did a new pilates and yoga program yesterday. According to my college "professor" or teacher, whichever she is, the kind of yoga I did yesterday is more Power Yoga then regular yoga. But I know during this pilates a lot of it is standing up and moving so I sweated my butt off! lol

Today is my first day of practicing yoga techniques in class... Excited but nervous. Not sure about the whole headstand part....

I forgot to comment yesterday and most of today. All the times I remember is when I'm driving... Not safe there!

I do know that I have officially dropped a pant size!!! YAY!!! My new jeans are actually 16s but I think they are a large 16. 18s fit great!!! I'm excited, it means that I will have a wider selection of clothes!

Anyhow, getting late...


Oh, btw, Activia yogurt works great.

Not losing the weight really fast. Can't complain too much though because its still going down. Doesn't help that on Friday I looked forward to doing my pilates and yoga.... Until I remembered that I had TCC Orientation (a complete waste of time, btw.) So I didn't get home til 1030 and was just exhausted. I know I'm posting this late in the day but almost forgot!

Well, a week late but I have hit a loss of 23 pounds! I didn't work out last night. Had to stay til 6 so I could leave at 4 today for orientation.... which I just realized I probably won't be able to workout today either :( .

Yesterday I was just sooo tired. Got home about 730 and jeff got home about 845. Could've squeezed in workout but being tired and cooking dinner.... no thank you!

Yesterday I did pilates, yoga, and even added in a light weight workout for my arms/shoulders.

I ate carefully yesterday but did cheat at "dinner" time.... Had a small Oreo shake and curly fries from Jack-in-the-Crack. But that was 2 1/2 hours before I did my workout... Hopefully I will have counteracted it!!!

I'm really starting to see the difference, especially in my pants. I can now pull my "tight" jeans off without unzipping them. And even without sucking in my stomach, I can pull them several inches away from my stomach. And by "tight" I mean that they are the least stretchy ones. My other two pairs stretch out and get really saggy by the time I walk out the door for work!

I made sure to do my pilates and yoga again yesterday. Definitely sweat my butt off!!! At least I'm pushing myself to do more and more of the pilates.

Kinda wish I lived closer to someone so I could go walking too. I don't want to go by myself and Brandy would drive me CRAZY.

I just realized today that yesterday was my lowest weight! I did do my yoga and pilates yesterday and I vacuum and cleaned the common areas too.... but I ate a bowl of shells & cheese with smoked sausage in it.... probably not the best idea.

My weight dropped back into place! I've been bbad and haven't worked out since last Tuesday... I have decided I'm gonna put a note on the outside of the laptop that tells me not to touch untl my workouts are complete, lol.

I know yesterday we had a lazy day, but I made sure to watch how much I ate and when I ate. Yoga at TCC starts this coming Monday... I'm excited and nervous!!!!

I know my weight went back up a little bit...

We went to eat at BJ's Restaurant and Brewery in the Highlands. It is soooo good. Only ate about 1/4 of my meal (which was the Parmesan crusted chicken... yum!) but also had a little bit of dessert too.

Have been much better today and since Jeff is sleeping, will probably do my pilates and yoga in a little bit!

222.2 (Yesterday & Today)

I tried to write my post for yesterday on my phone... but didn't know that when I closed the keyboard it would erase all the stuff I had typed...

So here we go!

Yesterday was the day after my birthday! Thursday I got a white on white cake with strawberries on top and chocolate covered strawberries from my bosses. SOOOO good... Needless to say... I STILL LOST WEIGHT!!! I didn't work out either, I went to Bobbi's instead and played a game on her computer til Jeff got off work.

Yesterday I ended up eating a little dinner at Bobbi's (her pool is done, btw!! Yesterday was the first swimming day and I was the SECOND person in it!!!) and, other than swimming, didn't work out. Still weighed the same this morning though. I would rather weigh the same then go up. We are going to my birthday dinner tonight at BJ Restaurant and Brewhouse. I told Jeff I want to go early and he joked that we are senior citizens. I just don't want to eat that late. The earlier I eat the more time I have to burn off the calories before bed.

Anyhow, will update again tomorrow!

Usually my weekly progress is greater that just .4 or .2 lbs a day. I am glad its going down, especially considering last night I didn't work out. That was my birthday gift to myself, lol.

I am taking "Fiber Therapy" pills now and I drank.... the equivalence of 12 glasses of water yesterday too. That's shocking to me! lol

Well, today is my 23rd birthday and my request for my cake at work was.... just chocolate covered strawberries!!! YUM!!!! Donna says I'll probably get my request because I am the "favorite". But really, I'm just the best compared to the rest!

I'm proud of myself, I actually did my pilates and yoga yesterday like I had planned!!!

At least the weight is going down... but it would probably be more if I (TMI moment coming up) could poo.

I had really hoped to be down 23 lbs by my 23rd birthday... but I would have to lose 2.2 lbs by tomorrow and I don't think that's going to happen. I was down 21.4 until the weekend and a couple of days of not working out. I know I could feel the burn yesterday more than when I do the workouts back-to-back.

I feel horrible. I haven't worked out since last Thursday. I really planned on doing yoga and pilates and maybe even walking yesterday.... I got so busy on the computer trying to work on Jeff's credit that time just flew right past.

I had even made a schedule for yesterday:
6-630: Grocery shopping, home, unpack groceries.
630-7: Catbox, dishes, laundry
7-730: Pilates
730-8: Yoga
8-830: Walking
830: Cook dinner, clean, work on computer...


I think today I am going to not touch the computer until AFTER I get everything done. It may be the only way. But I know my body feels when I don't work out and I really think it affects me mentally as well.

I was not as good as I should have been this weekend. Granted I ate healthy-ish but didn't work out.

I gained less than a pound back but that is because I ate later than usual and ate heavier food. I need to definitely make sure to at least work out during the week. I need to start walking to but it's just sooo hot!

One thing about losing weight: it makes me want to go shopping. I know the hardest problem though is that I'm still in the bigger size and there is just NOTHING good in the bigger sizes... unless you want to spend a bit of money or look like an old, fat lady.

20 lbs down!

I didn't think about doing this when I first started, which would have been a good idea... But I got the idea off of MSN.

I started my current attempt on June 14, 2009 at 244 lbs. Yes, 244 POUNDS.

May 2, 2009-approx 250 lbs.

I would love to say that I had the willpower to just eat healthy and work out. Not so. I wanted to do all of that but when it came down to it, I was too lazy.

My sister-in-law has been on these diet pills for at least a year & a half. She has lost a LOT of weight and looks SOOOO good. I hate to admit it sometimes, but I am so jealous of her.

So, I started those pills as well. Granted, I eat healthy and also started to do Pilates and Yoga daily, or at least on the weekdays. I don't eat fast food and don't eat after 7 at night.

I don't have a picture at my current weight, but this is the most recent:

July 17, 2008-231 lbs.
I want to try and update this daily with what I did, ate and progress. Wish me luck!
