In a blah

This week had been horribly hard sticking to the diet. I cheat every day... Usually with a spoonful (or two) of present butter... Yesterday was a cadbury egg too... Today was jellybeans (like 7) and peanut butter.

My weight isn't really dropping this week.

Either its because of the diet cheating, or not working out, or stress over the Anatomy/Physiology and Microbiology tests I had yesterday and just now, or that I'm on day 9/10 of my Provera perception which means my period will start in a few days...

I feel like I'm in a slump again. Doesn't help that I'm .8 lbs away from breaking 180 FINALLY...

And I crave food constantly. Taco bueno, lasagna, ice cream, hamburgers, bread, etc.

I gotta get through this! Now that my tests are done I want to kick my workouts up a notch! Start training Star on a leash...

Wedding Weekend

So, I didn't make my goal of 10-15 lb loss. BUT I did lose 8.5 lbs that last week!!!

Friday we were good until the rehearsal dinner... then I had ceasar salad, a roll, sweet tea, and a nice big piece of LASAGNA. I don't get lasagna much here because Jeff doesn't like it. SO YUM.

That night at Julie's we had.... apples, strawberries, and cheese. I KNOW. No fruit after 2pm was shot out of the window! However I did stay away from all alcohol.

Saturday for breakfast I had two bacon-egg-potato tacos from taco cabana and a Starbucks caramel machiato (which I wish I iced... but I had no clue).

For the reception lunch we had a strawberry, spinach, candied walnut salad, a roll, baked chicken with spinach and a rice&onion ball thingy. Then the cake was SOOOO good: white chocolate with raspberry filling for the bridal cake. And the grooms cake was chocolate with a reese's peanut butter filling. I liked the white cake best. YUM.

After the reception we went to my mom's house for a few hours and stopped and picked up chicken nuggets and sweet tea at McDonalds. And then there were oreos there. Needless to say my fingers bloated really fast from all the salt.

We headed out at 930pm and I started to go back on the diet a little bit by getting water. Did have a twix for a snack though.

Yesterday I was really good except for a mini cup of my FAVORITE vanilla-caramel coffee drink... And we saw icecream on tv so we went to coldstone.

I am not counting my weight for yesterday (184.something) because of the bloating, but from Friday morning to today I only gained 1.4 lbs!

2 Days

Weight: 182.8

I've lost 5.8 lbs on the 17 Day Diet in 2 days!

I don't know how much I'll lose for tomorrow, but it is getting harder. I love carbs. And sweets. And one of myt houses made BROWNIES while I was there. How cruel!

Maybe this 17 Day Diet will work afterall... especially if I keep seeing results like this!

4 Days Til the Wedding & 1st Day of 17-Day-Diet

Weight: 188.6

I must've had a LOT of water weight though! I peed a bunch yesterday and even woke up this morning at 330 to pee and again when Jeff left at 5.

Obviously I'm not going to make my goal for Jewel's wedding. But I'm not mad as much as I should be because I already have my bridesmaids dress and it fits!

17 Day Diet is going... interesting. First thing you have to do is drink 8oz of hot water with half a lemon squeezed in. First thing in the morning. Jeff said it almost made him throw up but he said he had lukewarm water. Might see if its better for him with a Truvia packet... he also did 16oz. lol

17 Day Diet

Tomorrow Jeff and I are starting the 17 Day Diet.

My stepmom has lost about 30 lbs in 40 days on this diet.

I consists of 4 cycles of 17 days and each cycle the diet varies.

This first cycle is pretty much like the Atkins diet. Lean meats, no carbs. It gives very specific lists on what kind of meats, vegetables, fruits, condiments, drinks, etc. that you can eat.

I already know this first 17 days is going to be the hardest. I LOVE carbs and breads... and sweets...

I remember the last time I did the Atkins diet was back in high school and I lost 9 lbs in 4 days... then ate chinese food and never looked back, lol.

We went and bought food and made a meal schedule for the week (so we knew how much to buy). Spent a lot of money.

Hopefully it will get easier!

I will try to keep everyone updated on my progress. I think it is AWESOME that Jeff has actually agreed to do this with me! Its a sign of "unity", as he says.

I can't agree to update EVERY day... especially since school starts again tomorrow. But I will try to keep it updated.

I swear, I don't know what's going on with my body any more. I guess it would help if I had time to workout. But I don't even have time to keep the house near decent!

Between the dogs, work, school, helping jeff at the church, infertility, and just relaxing... I don't want to do anything!

Busy

I've been getting behind the daily update because we have had a crazy busy week or two.

Mid-terms. Alicia in the hospital. Work. Etc.

14 Days

Weight: 183.8

Did ok.

Yesterday Jeff bought dinner (McD's!) which was fine with me because I was HUNGRY and hadn't eaten all day.

15 Days (for Thursday)

Weight: 184.2

Spent a lot of time at the hospital.

Didn't have too much time to eat so didn't eat dinner til after class... and that was 2 corndogs!

16 Days (for Wednesday)

Weight: 185.6

See what I mean by roller coaster??? Up then down then up then down.

Its like the Steel Eel at the SeaWorld San Antonio theme park.


Had a test Monday & Tuesday so no exercising.

17 Days (for Tuesday)

Weight: 186.2

Went down a little bit.

Yesterday one of my houses gave me lunch, lol. A chicken and a beef tamale with celery and tomatoes on the side (humus optional... but not for me).

No workout yesterday either.

18 Days

I expected to gain a little from the weekend.

I always do.

And I had made fresh banana bread for the FIRST time! YUMMMM....

I hope to lose some of the weight today in water weight that I usually carry over from the weekend.

I won't have any time to exercise until Wednesday because of midterms this week! YIKES!

And my dad and Joyce sent me a diet program that she has been using, 17 Day Diet, and she has had amazing results so I will probably sit down and read that book after my midterms are over!!!

19 Days

I will not complain AT ALL.

Went to Outback last night to celebrate Mary's birthday. Ate the Aussie cheese fries... yum... but ordered the 500 calorie salmon and veggies. YUM!!!! So delicious!

Tomorrow won't be so great... just had a couple slices of homemade banana bread!

20 Days

Weight: 184.0!

I was actually able to lose the .4 lbs!

We went to a Chinese buffet yesterday...

And I avoided ice cream!!!

SUCCESS FOR ME!!!

I also only had THREE fried items: 1 crab ragoon, 1 egg roll, and 1 sugar donut thingy.

21 Days (For Friday)

Weight: 184.4

I went up a tiny bit, but not bad since I usually go up a lot more on Thursday-Friday.

22 Days (For Thursday)

Weight: 184.0!

Yay! I was able to drop down some more! It has been a crazy busy week!

23 Days (For Wednesday)

Weight: 185.8!

I'm getting it back down a little bit... I always prefer low 180's to high 180's!
